haha, a long time seems to have passed since i last blogged. haha, probably because so much has happened ba. my life has been bustling with activities!!! haha, i'm teaching in school, preparing for anderson sec's cny concert, teaching tuition and lastly also running back to hwa chong to help out at huang cheng. with regards to my teaching in anderson, til now, i'm doing fine and enjoying myself in this new occupation of mine. haha, it is a dream come true for me! haha, it was an experience in itself to go back to your alma mater and become collegues with your teachers! haha, it is like you talk to them on a different level already ya? in the past, it was student-teacher r/s. now, it has become collegue r/s. haha, it does feels weird but also feels rather encouraging as you now work hand in hand with them to make the school a better place. i am teaching chinese for sec1 3 different streams, higher chinese, express chinese and also chinese for the normal technical. haha, so all in all i have 3 classes. i also teach innovative project work to one of e sec1 classes and it was rather interesting to hear the sec1s speak up of their idea, heez, some of them are really cute!!! haha. :P teaching chinese for 3 different streams i can say was an eye-opener for me as i get to compare the different standards among e 3 different grps of students. of cos, the best students will be in the class taking higher chinese and the weaker students being those in N(T). even though they are different in their standards, i try to give all 3 grps of students equal opportunities to learn as i really dowan to discriminate any grp of them. they are jus sec1, i believe if their interests is aroused in e subject, they can do pretty well de. haha, of cos, there are some classes that are harder to handle. other den the higher chinese class, e other 2 are harder to control as e students are very good at self-entertaining instead of listening to e teacher talking. i could still handle them all thanks to my 1st-man command-shouting training when i was in anderson st-john ambulance brigade. :P don't worry, they are still manageable except during times when my throat is not very good ba, heez. ;) have started marking my student's work and i can say i write a lot of stuff on their books and paste a lot of stickers!!! hahaha, their books all look so childish liaoz, and its all my fault sia, heez. :P but when i was a student, i really hope tt my teacher has e time to do such acts so u guess students nowadays will also appreciate my effort, and hopefully like chinese more as time passes ba, haha. ;) i also started attending meetings and doing all e other non-teaching stuff that are req'd of teachers in school. seriously, after being a teacher for a week, i've learnt how hard it actually is to be a teacher. and i've learnt to hold my teachers in higher respect now that i'm gg thru what they're gg thru. it won't be easy being a teacher but i'll learn to deal with it in stride de cos i love being around school, cca and students. :)
