HEY HEY HEY~(say say say~) finally get to have some time to blog about arts camp 2006, i can say it was the best camp i have ever attended in my whole life til now!!! before i go on very long about the arts camp, i must fulfil my promise so here goes: Carrie, my dear house i/c, this entry is for you~~~ hahaha. :P by the way, if there're any errors in my recount in terms of the order of appearance i sincerely apologise but i couldn't really remember clearly each day as it is too happening!!! ;)
1st day me and pork met up together at sembawang mrt station to go to eusoff hall together as we're afraid that we'll lose our way do going together will be safer~ there's a safety in numbers neh~! ok lame, anyway, as i was saying about our trip to nus eusoff hall. we reached the bus stop opposite the central library of nus and was stranded as we had no idea where the heck eusoff hall is la. haha, in the end we asked for guidance from a lot of people(our OGLs and some other NUS people walking around) before finally managing to reach our place of destination in time. we were all gathered at the multi-purpose hall of the hostel for registration and to get ourselves into our different orientation groups. i was in the red house RAMICA and in the OG RELAKA!!! oh man, i really cannot put into words how fortunate i feel to be in the camp with the group of people i was in with! RAMICA rox!!! especially our house I/Cs chiobu CARRIE *winkz* & macho Chonghan, they're both so funny and cute and cool and they rock!!! :D RELAKA rox too~!!! despite the fact that our slogan is Relac la from our group name, we managed to make a name out of ourselves during the whole camp and was quite popular being the OG with the greatest OG spirit and morale~!!! woohooo~!!! damn high high high~~~ ok, we had icebreaker games, learning of cool and fun cheers first where we get to know each other and start to warm ourselves up for the 5D4N camp. after the games, the strap of my flip-flop came off so i walked barefooted from one place to another for lunch. but not for long as my super duper nice OG counsellors bought me a new pair FOC from cheers while i was eating. then after lunch i found out that i was so "lucky" that i dio some shit from some bird la! it dirtied my back thigh and white shorts la!!! wah kao lohz! after which was some talks that drove a lot of us to sleep as it is just after lunch ma.
then we had campus tour which is a series of games played throughout the campus where our OG was on a losing streak all the way until almost the end where we finally won 2 games but lost the very last one. even though we lost, we cheered on and played on with enthusiasm, enjoying ourselves to the fullest which led us to win the honour of being greatest spirit OG! haha, the game that i really enjoyed and had fun was the one where we had to dance to a stupid korean video with really dumb dance steps. in the end we just heck care about the video and designed our own even funnier dance moves where we just let our hair down and throw away all image as we danced like goondoos, it was damn funny la!!! haha, we had a secret weapon which is one of my OG mate(guy:Nicholas) who dance belly dance!!! oh man, it is real cool! and of course hilarious whereby all of us couldn't help but laugh whenever he does that.
then we had dinner after which we had a bazzar of all the different subjects under FASS where i was quite sian diao as there was no chinese department stall.. booo.. :( never mind as i in the end went and sit in a circle with the seniors and started playing some silly but fun games. ;) after which there was the game where we earn imaginary currency to buy materials and make our OG mascot which we will carry about for the rest of the camp. there were many stations where we played games like hai3 dai4 and also hei1 bai2 pei4, was reminded of Chopin and all the good old days of S73! there was this station where some us girls try our luck at black jack as the guys are on a losing streak in gambling, guess what happened? we kept winning and winning that we made the banker of that stall bankrupt!!! hahaha, damn damn damn funny and it was damn shiok! by the end of the day, we did not manage to complete our mascot in time so have to stay back until quite late to finish after which go bathe and sleep at 3 plus midnight. i was really shagged and it was only the 1st day!!! my room was quite scary as i sleep alone so resorted to blasting radio from handphone and drawing down all the blinds of windows in order to sleep in peace.. which i did, as per usual, heez. :P
2nd day woke up feeling body sore all over and then had a not so good breakfast at the dining hall of eusoff hall, was almost late as i was very reluctant to climb out of bed but didn't in the end. after our breakfast, they day of activites started once more with the pool games that is at some swimming complex in the campus. thus our whole OG started to walk to our destination instead of waiting for the internal shuttle bus to arrive. while walking there, we started to learn a new cheer under our counsellor Yuen Mei and the very cheer-y OGL Jasmine~! ok, damn suay once again as i was happily walking and cheering when i suddenly slipped and fell lahz!!! it has been a long time since i last fell down so it hurts man, hurts a lot but i din allow myself to show it cos i was feeling so damn malu!!! jus got up as fast as poss and want to cont moving on asap but our caring and responsible counsellors dun allow me to do so until they had make sure i really have no serious injuries. really thankful for the care and concern they showered, it has been a long time since people cared for me instead of me for them, heez. felt quite awkward but sweet and warming to the heart at the same time. :) the fall wasn't without any injuries thou, my right hand dio minor contused wound and grazed wound then my left foot dio the same type of wounds but more severe only la. of cos was not life-threatening but -ouch!- it hurts la! when we reach the complex, the sun was real real real strong!!! had great games involving water where we just played, laughed and cheered!!! got myself all wet which i am thankful for as the sun was real hiong!
then came the next game which is called project shoot-it! we were supposed to go as a OG to places outside NUS campus to take pictures according to clues and guidelines given and also play some games along the way. it was real fun as we are supposed to pose some pictures with certain themes to it. haha, i posed for 3 fun ones where i acted as ah lian, auntie and indian(bollywood style mah). oh ya, there was also this game where the gals have to do a facial for the guys and i was one of those doing the facial on one of my OG mate, Zhimin, aka Mr.Popular among the gals. haha, i feel so sorry for him la, hopefully i din force too much of the cleansing stuff into his eyes/nose/mouth. :P after the game when we gathered back as one whole arts camp(Arts Camp oy!!!), we danced mambo!!! hahaha, real real real fun!!! even though i cannot dance, i think i'm somehow starting to like dancing liaoz. ;)
after the dancing and dinner, we had speed dating where we're forced to speak to guys from other houses for at least 5 minutes per person la! i was so shagged liaoz still have to think of things to talk about!!! ok la, at e end i talked to 12 guys and we exchanged numbers. haha, lk i'll really call them or they'll call me la! haha, but it was still ok la. no harm making new friends man~ ;) after which. it was night activities aka Night Venture!!! oh man, this was one real scary and freaky part of the whole camp la!!! we watched the Exorcism of Emily Rose while the counsellors start to despatch us to different ghostly stations in groups of 4. i must say i am glad i didn't freak out this time if not i'll want to change school liaoz!!! haha, but my station was still damn scary la. went with christin, linah and daniel (you rock man! cant imagine gg in w/o u, we'll die!) into a toilet!!! it was damn dark inside and when we 1st entered, all 4 of us were freaked out by a loud and horrifying scream that made all 4 of us huddle up close to one another! after which we have to look for things inside the toilet and deal with the occasional and random screams that is real freakish! haha, of cos, we gals will just scream and scream if not will die ah. most of the time i was just keeping my eyes tightly closed and praying hard that the whole thing will end very quickly la!!! i must say the counsellors really did a good job at the night venture but of cos i wont thank them for scaring the hell out of me la. haha, sorry la, but i cant bring myself to that. :P i was really scared that i have difficulty breathing for a long time after the thing ended, keep having a tight feeling on my chest.
after the thing, everyone started watching world cup tgt and i was shagged plus no interest in football so looked pork up w regards to our next day activity: MOE meet-up session for teaching award holders and teaching scholars.. damn sian diao lahz! we're like at a camp halfway and suddenly have to leave for such a thing?! nvm.. so we discussed and at night pork decided to bunk in with me as she was still freaked out by the movie screening which i am glad of of cos! we chatted quite a while bout e camp b4 we were overcome by sleepiness at 4am.
3rd day both of us woke up to my alarm clock at 7am then we started packing for the day individually before going down for breakfast. the day will be spent at sentosa!!! bcos of e fact that some of us have to be tchrs in e future, thus hav to go for e session dressed in smart casual, we have to drag all our barangs barangs which is damn heavy and troublesome la!!! we also missed out the games in e morning lohz! argh.. nvm, at least going there allows some rest for my throat to recover from all e continuous cheering for e past few days.. even napped a bit which allows me to get some energy back for sentosa later!!! oh ya, saw my long lost primary school friend at e session!!! haha, i think e session is thus not wasted la. :P also got a call from xuefen, my fellow collegue back at anderson sec and it was real nice being able to hear frm e ppl at anderson bout sch and my students.. missing them like hell la.. haiz.. have to let go!!! i have to let go say i have to let go! *clap clap* i have to let go say i have to let go! *clap clap* cheering mode, heez. :P also saw jias!!! haha, missing her too~~~ haha, we played bingo during the session which was beta den jus sitting down and listening to ppl speak only lohz. ;) after e whole thing me, pork and my 2 other OG mates(Alicia&SeeHwei) went to toilet to change into sentosa wear~! wah.. so shiok la, felt much beta den wearing smart casual clothes lohz.
we were in time for the sentosa beach games when we reached!!! haha, good timing neh~ all the beach games was real fun!!! haha, there was one game playing frishbee where i'm thankful for e training at ecp w 1/5-ians~!!! ;) then there was one game called KingKong Tarzan Jane, sth lk scissors paper stone but w funnier actions onli. haha, real funny and my OG won!!! yea~!!! RELAKA... RELAKA!!! then there was one game when one of my OG mate Nicholas was supposed to peel banana using mouth b4 eating w me holding e other end of e banana. in e end he din peel but jus ate the banana w skin la!!! oh man, real real real funny!!! oh ya, then we were playing a particular game in e sea w another OG and we met a super petty guy who is a real sore loser. he became the butt of jokes for my OG as we called him burst burst bcos he can play cheat and burst our balloons but not us of his OG, lohz. complain to e station i/c somemore la! he even pushed some of our OG gals into e water just to grab our balloons! we nvr complain den he go complain! wah kao~ nvm cos thanks to him, our OG became damn united after tt game and was on a winning streak for e rest of e games!!! RELAKA RELAKA Go GO GOOO!!!
after e OG games, we had house games!!! RAMICA COME ON! SAY SAY SAY! RAMICA WOOO!!! it was water bomb games and our hse's lollipop made of newspaper was least damaged at e end!!! yea man! we're proud of u say we're proud of u! *clap clap clap* den we had tug of war where i represented my hse for e female round!!! it was damn damn damn shagged cos e rope is in 4 directions!!! wah lao, after every round feel lk dying liaoz! i was e last person who is supposed to anchor but end up keep falling to the sand ground den have to force myself up to keep pulling again! reali reali reali very very very de tiring!!! of cos have scratches on my leg again la. but i was very touched when our house i/c chonghan went up to all 4 of us gals individually and helped massaged our shoulders, he rock~! even though we lost in e end, i'm proud to be in Ramica!!! then there was once when chonghan cried as he was touched by our Ramica spirit!!! i was moved to tears by his speech also la! e strong spirit in a big grp of ppl.. remind me so so so much of huang cheng.. missing huang cheng lots too~!!! *sob sob* I LOVE RAMICA! we may not be as rara as Ameta or as creative plus action-packed as Tigara and Sagani, Ramica's war cheer rox~!!! (we will win the war, we will win the war, we will win the war...this time!!!) got action de! damn spastic but damn fun too~~~ at e end we had free for all water bombing where it was real funny!!! haha, bcos when e counsellors announced it was free for all, almost everyone siam-ed!!! hahahaha! tgt siam, so synchronised w/o anyone having to say ath la! hahaha, onli a few of e brave ones went forward to take water bombs to throw, e rest jus siam and watch out for water bombs frm e air. :P
after all e action, we had secret pal(sp) meeting session blindfolded! haha, it was an experience in itself la. we were all blindfolded and led to a spot w our sp by e counsellors to talk for ard twenty minutes where we'll hav counsellors that come along to kachiao us. i had one who come along and touch my face la! my sp for e night was a stand-in sp as my actual sp had sth at home thus left liaoz. we had fun chatting about cca and other stuff, he told me bout his story in jc where he and his friend fought over a gal in a triangle r/s lohz. haha, i almost dozed off in e middle as it was real tiring and we were blindfolded ma. :P after e whole thing, we left to go back nus where our whole OG went out for supper!!! hahaha, we were clever enough to go immediately when we got off e bus that allowed us to have seats when we reach the prata shop. ;) after eating went back to room, wash up bathe write letter to my sp and den slp at 3plus once more.
4th day today super duper malu!!! bcos i overslept!!! and then as i was blasting radio once more, i din hear my alarm, i din hear all e calls!!! den in e end my OGL Jasmine and counsellor Aya had to get e maintenance man to open up my door and wake me up la!!! so so so paiseh! but when i woke up also not feeling well as my throat officially protested and start losing voice le. den went w/o breakfast for some talk once more b4 we played a game called Where's Wally. haha, when our OG was running ard trying to find counsellors in disguise or hiding out, i saw Yiwen Chengjie and Piagoi!!! hahaha, a nice surprise running into them as they're all doing the health checkup for nus. then there was once where we got a tip-off on 2 snrs hideout den me and my OG snrs ran secretly to look for them den hav to act lk we din find them after we got their signatures! haha, damn scheming la, but no choice as we hav to do it. den came e war games where we played as house again!!! RAMICA rox!!! this time our OG make e lollipop of newspapers and we were e onli OG with lollipop in e middle of e pole where e other 3 had it at e end of their pole. there were some ppl who said we did it wrongly but it turned out not!!! our lollipop was e not at all damaged by water bombs!!! it is because our guys can protect e lollipop beta w it in e middle and not at e end! RELAKA rox~!!! there were all e dirty games where we tried to shun from being zam by dirty disgusting water bombs. haha, our OG gals went to male toilet to fill up water bombs for our house!!! we were so damn on man~ RELAKA!!!
den it was sp night where we get to meet our sp in person liaoz. i must say ah, there're really some who really dress up for the occasion man! wah lao, w all e clothes and all e makeup and stuff!!! i saw my sp over dinner and he was a yr4 in nus liaoz who was a counsellor for Sagani. he is good-looking, popular and nice. shall post a photo i took w him when he sent it to me. ;) we talked quite a bit over dinner which is cold and hard fish&chips!!! after dinner, we went to a gay club, e whole arts camp for clubbing!!! wah kao! i reali enjoyed myself lk hell!!! i danced and grooved to e music lk a mad woman la! keep dancing and shaking and grooving until my blouse is soaked w sweat! shall go clubbing again in future w friends i know if i get to!!! damn damn damn shiok!!! then there was lk some ppl who got drunk and hav to be carried/supported by friends. my OG got gabriel who bcum super high after drinking qt a bit and we jus kept laughing when he started talking nonsense lk nobody's business. we even played a very cu su game that Chopin and Pow will surely lk neh~ hahaha,sth to do w nai3. ;) after which we went for supper again den it was a sleepless night when we just chatted throughout the night and wrote messages for all our counsellors, house I/Cs and OGL plus AOGL which is 13 of them in total secretively!!! it was qt a torture as i couldnt think properly and a lot of times jus felt lk dozing off while writing messages lohz. haha, so do pardon me if there're gramma errors or spelling mistakes or tt my handwriting is terrible lohz.
5th(last) day last day of e camp.. we din do much games but jus watched games and write messages for one another.. it was damn malu as i cried at e end when we did the war cheer for e last time and all e cheers.. e tears jus keep flowing.. i'm gonna miss tis camp a lot a lot.. all e cheers. all e craziness. all e laughter. all e sweat. all e counsellors. it felt lk when huang cheng ended ya? it jus touched a chord in my heart and i jus couldnt bear for it to end.. i jus feel so so so sad... so malu and paiseh.. but i cant help it.. guess i'm a person who is too emotional le ya? haiz... den i also gave e gift i prepared to my sp, he wasn't a freshie so he din prepare one but its ok. :) after e whole thing our OG went to harbourfront subway to eat lunner(lunch+dinner) at 3pm where we bonded further~! ;) ate and chatted and laughed.. oh man.. this arts camp will def b a chapter of my life that i'll nvr ever forget!!! i made real good friends that will last me 4eva: Jessica(my rara partner&my twin sis ;) : its ok tt u were slow to warm up as we still hav a long way to go!), Alicia and SeeHwei(my future collegues to be?), Melisa&Christin(2 gals tt accompany for most of e time thru e camp!), plus e rest Sham, Janice, Daphne, Serene, AiLing, LiNah, Zhimin, Gabriel, Daniel, Nicholas, Jeremy and HaoJie. Relaka rox!!! i'm so glad and feel so fortunate to be in e same OG as every single one of u~! lets keep our OG spirit strong and stay in touch!!! go out for OG outings!!! also to the seniors: Jasmine, Faith, Paul, Jackson, Aya, Benny, PeiJuan, YuenMei, Angie, Lionel, Chonghan, Carrie Edward, Jasmine snr, JingJun, Jingyi and Ivan!!! everyone of u rock man!!! every single one of ur presence simply made arts camp a great one for me! all e memories which i'll keep safely locked away in a big corner of my heart!!! thx lots for eth!!! -end- p.s. super long, but pardon me cos e camp was jus too happening~!!!
