活着不易，累人伤神。开心很难，笑里含泪。

Had a very bad fall yesterday, one of the worst ones I ever have since I can have a clear memory of my life. After falling down on those rough cement/concrete area, I managed to limp to the nearest bus-stop to pick myself up. Was thinking of continue going for the focus group first before getting my wounds dressed. But as I sat there, cold sweat start breaking out, my heart start racing and my head start feeling faint. That was when I realised it is not something to be taken lightly this time round.

I called those whom I think can come to my help, and thankfully there was Bing De. Many apologies for waking you up from your slumber!!! :p Thank you for being there with me, for helping me with all the stuff at UHC, for waiting while the nurse addressed my wound, for paying for the dressings, for letting yourself walk barefoot under hot sun while I wear one of your slippers, for buying me my meals and most importantly, for the care and concern that made me feel much better.

Thank you Cyan who happened to be at the bus stop and helped me across the road to UHC even though you were already late for your consultation. Thank you Pearl and Serene for dropping by my room to bring me subway! ;) Thank you Zi Cheng for helping me change my dressings, for buying me my meals, for treating me so many things, and most importantly, for all the little words and actions that lessened the physical pain from all the wounds. Thank you Eng Eng, Sarizan and Samuel for all the advice on dressings while I disturb you people on phone. Thank you many others who showed care and concern when heard about my plight.

The incident inconvenienced me greatly, causing me pain, sleepless night and temporary disability. I have only myself to blame for being so careless and I really hated myself for being handicapped in such a way, for having to trouble people with things which you can normally handle easily. But there is also this part of me which is really thankful, for it shows me once again how fortunate I am to be surrounded by so many friends who care. And it also feels good when you know you have someone to take care of you. Blessing in disguise? :)

Wanted to list out everyone who wished me belated birthday but it's quite hard with alot all over on FB and sms without specifying identity. Bleah. Nevertheless thankful for every single birthday wish, no matter how small, how late, how insignificant you may think, it is still your thought and it thus counts and matters to me! :)))


But most importantly, this is specially dedicated to my fellow friends who celebrated my birthday yesterday with a very delicious and nice birthday cake!!! Abit sad to see that many candles but lucky the cake was big enough so doesn't feel that old. LOL. :p Each year, Chinese New Year just doesnt seem to get better, and this year was no exception. Was actually feeling pretty terrible on my actual birthday because of things which I will not elaborate here, that day really sucked if not for the birthday sms-es streaming in through the day. Really thankful to those who did not forget despite the festive season, seriously!!!


Luckily there was yesterday, the visit to my junior's house where I met up with all the beloved HC juniors of mine, the meetup with my dearest kor who came back from China only for a few days but make time to see me and hear me rant on and on about things which I doubt will share with another human being, and the PARIS PARTY with the surprise celebration and awesome company!!! And after I went home, it seemed that CNY '10 wasn't that bad afterall. I feel so blessed that I am scared bad luck will follow immediately afterwards. Bleah. I was really touched to have so many people celebrate my birthday, feels like my 21st happening all over again; all the photo-taking batches, all the rara-ing, all the perspiring. :p Heh heh heh! And the perfume will definitely come in handy as I confirm plus chop will use! ;) Even if I never get to have my birthday celebrated ever again, it is ok as I have had memorable ones to last me. XOXO. <3

Just want to say if you forgot about my birthday, no need to hit yourself over for it as it is more than reasonable and justifiable! Afterall, it is also the Chinese New Year season! This was supported by my mummy also, lol.

Anyway, despite not having a birthday cake this year because they are selling it at cut-throat prices due to the festive season (VDay plus CNY, what better combination to raise the price skyrocket high? ;)), and many other things which I shall not elaborate, the sms-es I received cheered me on and touched me much.

And there were 3 other people who sms-ed me but I did not manage to get who they are due to my stupid spare phone and them not replying, bleah. Last but not least, there were those who had foresight and decided to pass me present earlier. Thanks Weibin, even though your gift was simple in your words, it really touched me lotsa and I loved it! Thanks Pork, the unique and special post-its will most probably stay with me for a long long time as I cannot bear to use it. :p Thank you everyone for making me feel blessed.

Sometimes in life, things just do not go the way you want, or happen the way you imagine for it to be. But it just takes some adjusting in mentality, then you will realise that it may just be a blessing in disguise, or it is actually not that bad actually. :)))

This year is really special. First and foremost, Chinese New Year clashes right on with Valentines' Day. And then there is also my special day which falls on Chinese New Year. Thus triple happiness!!! LOL.

I guess it is also a time for me to see who are the ones that care enough too. (: Shall not have too much expectations least suffer much disappointment. But no matter what, I am already happy and thankful thus far. ;)
